Location
Areas with more nerve endings and bones closer together tend to be more painful. Bony areas like ribs, ankles, and shins are among the most sensitive.
Skin Thickness
Thinner skin areas (inner arm, neck) tend to be more sensitive than thicker skin areas (outer arm, back).
Individual Tolerance
Pain tolerance varies from person to person. Factors like stress, sleep, hydration, and even time of day can affect how you perceive pain.
